IP & Takedown Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Designers own their work. Copying a model and selling it — printed or as a file — isn't allowed on Filagora, and we act on valid reports quickly.
1. Designs and licences
Listing a design doesn't transfer its ownership to Filagora or to buyers, and buying a file grants only the licence on the listing. Sellers must own the designs they sell, or hold a licence that allows selling them — and selling prints of them. The Maker Standards explain which licences allow what, and how to credit designers.
2. Fan art and brands
Characters, logos and brand names belong to their owners — whoever designed the model. Prints of unlicensed characters or brands can't be sold on Filagora, as items or as files. If you have an official licence from the owner, keep it on hand; we may ask for it.
Sharing a photo of a fan-art piece you printed for yourself in the feed is fine, as long as you credit the model's designer and don't sell it or point people to where they can buy it.
3. How to report infringement
Use Report on the listing or post (choose "It copies my design"), our report form, or email a notice. For a valid copyright (DMCA) notice, include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the work you say is infringed — a link to where you published it, or other proof it's yours;
- the Filagora listing(s) or post(s) that infringe it, with their links;
- your name, postal address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorised to act for them.
Trademark reports follow the same route: tell us which mark, where it's registered, and which listings use it.
4. What happens next
We normally remove clearly infringing listings or posts within 2 business days. We tell the seller or poster what was removed, why, and how to respond, and we tell you what we decided. Knowingly false notices can make the sender liable for damages, so only report what you believe is yours.
5. Counter-notice
If your listing or post was removed and you believe it's a mistake — you own the design, or you have a licence — send a counter-notice with:
- your physical or electronic signature, name, address and phone number;
- what was removed and where it appeared;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where Filagora can be found), and that you'll accept service from the person who reported it.
For US copyright claims, we forward the counter-notice to the claimant and restore the content after 10 business days unless they tell us they've filed a lawsuit. For other claims, send your reason and evidence and we'll review it.
6. Repeat infringers
Each valid infringement report is a strike against the account. Three valid strikes and the shop is closed. Earnings tied to infringing sales may be withheld or reversed. A successful counter-notice removes the strike.
7. DMCA designated agent
Filagora DMCA Agent, FluxNexus LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste 7236, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA — support@filagora.com. Our agent registration with the US Copyright Office is pending; until it's listed, send notices to this address.
