About this piece
A lithophane hides your photo inside the thickness of the plastic: in daylight it's a subtle relief, switch the backlight on and the image appears in perfect grayscale. It is the single most-gifted item in our shop.
After checkout you'll upload your photo; we tune contrast by hand before printing. Allow one extra day for that — it's worth it.
Frame and warm-white backlight included.
Luma started with one broken bedside lamp and a $200 printer. Three years later we design lamps that exist nowhere else — printed in translucent PLA that turns every bulb into a soft moon. Each piece is printed when you order it, which means zero inventory, zero waste, and a lamp that was literally made for you. We photograph every order on the print bed before it ships.
